It must be noted right off the bat that I am a huge fan of coffee – I drink a lot of it, unapologetically, and I don’t care who disagrees, nor will I give much thought to anyone who claims that it can cause cancer in large amounts (I’ve seen the studies, injecting that much of anything into a rat will give it cancer). Also I’ve found that it allows me to perform better with less pain – it’s not even a question, and this is with other mental factors accounted for (as far as I’m concerned)…and it’s legal.
That said, my father-in-law just forwarded me a link to a case story on a case study that blows the lid off of the “Coffee is good for you story”. It’s not all good news of course, but the good news outweighs the bad 10 to 1… And according to what I’m reading, the more the merrier:
“The evidence remains overwhelmingly in coffee’s favor. Yes, it was observational, but the study published in May in the New England Journal of Medicine looked at hundreds of thousands of men and women and found this bottom line result: people who drank coffee lived longer than those who didn’t.
And the more they drank, the longer they lived. If you’re into that sort of thing”.
Why yes, I am into that sort of thing thank you. Check it out if you have a minute.
