Quit bullshitting yourself.  You don’t believe that crap you’re trying to sell yourself on anyway.  You can do it, you can make the commitment, you can work that hard, you can succeed – unless you believe the lie that exercise can be effortless.  It’s nasty, dirty, sweaty, hard work.  Learn to love it, or let me know how that tree bark salad tastes. <

That’s pretty cool, that click and drag thing. Great message. Down with the Melon committee!!!

Stupid melon. I refuse to eat bark, so I guess it’s hard work for me.

I know! I’ve gotta start getting a hold of my diet here pretty soon. Highs in the mid-40’s… Almost all over but the shouting for the year.

Yup, 30mph winds and 50 right now, both will be dropping in about 30 minutes. Ugh. I’ve never done winter running outside, but I’m afraid I’ll have to learn to just do it if I’m going to kick this half marathon’s butt in January.

running outside is WAY easier than cycling… I wear my cycling jacket when I run and I’m never cold – and I’ve been running in some pretty gnarly weather (eyelashes freezing together). You’ll do great! When you walk outside you should be just uncomfortable that you don’t want to stand around for more than a couple of minutes – that signals the perfect clothing for running in the cold.

        Great tip, thanks!
[just nominated you for an award–if you even bother with those :-)]

      • bgddyjim says:

I bother with them. Thank you Sandra.

      • Sandra says:

Yay. Well. You deserve it !!
