Before you ask, it easily weighs somewhere between 70 and 80 pounds. Maybe more. It’s a tank.
By the way, I am not lost on the fact that I advocate always wearing a helmet and we’re not. Got caught up in the moment.
Now that is a great family photo!
Thanks! I’ll have to look at it closer when we get home… We volunteered and rode the course afterwards (though on our own bikes).
There’s been a group on RAGBRAI for several years on QUADZILLA! Talk about fast! You put 4 strong riders on a good machine and they fly! You’ll have to scroll through it, but you find a picture of them here: http://myboatyard.homestead.com/ragbrai03.html
Thanks man, I’ll check it out! There was nothing fast about the one we rode. Single speed and about six of my bikes.
Absolutely awesome. Will forgive the lack of helmet. LOL
Thank you, much appreciated. 😜
That is awesome!
Pretty close to it my friend. Pretty close.
Is that a portland police door buster? Or the bicycle tow truck?
It’s definitely heavy enough to be a door buster, Holy Moses!
Bicycle tow truck, now that one’s a keeper.
Bikes like that are real common on RAGBRAI. Pretty cool seeing you with your family on that bike!
Can’t help but notice the big smiles on everyone in your family, including you! I know you don’t need the encouragement, but keep it up.
I shall, my friend.
Wouldn’t have noticed the headwear if you hadn’t highlighted it… on yesterday’s ride, five of us had broomsticks attached and two people were riding around in a cauldron… great fun! There was a tandem with a tagalong but none with four.
Four is pretty rare, man. That witch theme would have been a sight!
