Best Vacation Ever… Because it was Short

May 2016

Work has been way too hectic lately.  It’s nuts, hard, stressful…

I needed some time off but when it’s hectic at work I just can’t relax on vacation…  It sucks.

Enter my sister-in-law.  She wanted to see a concert with my wife, so she flew her down for that, then asked if I could join on Friday.  She provided a ticket for me and we all met at a townhouse in the Florida Keys.  We snorkeled till we were just shy of growing webbed hands…

Saw a decent sized alligator:

And played Spades like some politician would get suddenly religious and decide it was her one-woman war against cards and pass a law banning the game…

Some of my hands sucked.  Real bad.  But the boys ended up tying the girls on the last game and all was right in the world.

It was the perfect, perfect weekend getaway.  I’ll be able to fix everything at work and life is definitely good.

My post streak ended, of course.  I only wrote one post all weekend long after not missing a day since January first, but I’m okay with that.

More tomorrow, my friends.

Glad you go away, had some fun and were not eaten by the alligator. 🙂

Yes, fortunately I was on the right side of the camera for the gator… and the shark… and the barracuda(s). We weren’t too worried about the turtles.

Glad you were able to catch a breather…also glad you got out of the water before you turned completely amphibian. I have heard that those creatures aren’t too stellar on two wheels.
