They say cycling in bad weather makes one a badass…
I say putting in enough miles that one can take a day off when it’s crappy outside is even more badass.*
8,140 miles for the year so far.
*This obviously doesn’t apply to anyone who lives in Ireland or the UK. I realize you have to ride in the rain over there, or you simply don’t ride.
Rain? What’s that then?
My point exactly.
Besides slippery pavements and brakes that don’t grab as well in the wet, my biggest problem in the rain is wet lenses. When is someone going to invent cycling glasses with wipers?!
I know! Or RainX for sunglasses.
Thanks, Jim! I think that might be a workable suggestion! Remember to slow down though! You don’t have the traction to stop in rain with wet rims.
Yeah, disc brakes, my friend. They are very nice. With them, wet doesn’t matter.
Nah, you should have been a badass and continued to ride in the bad weather, rumor says you are a weenie for not doing so! lmao jk 🙂
Love it! And 8140? Wow! Bad@$$ for sure!
Not as badass as riding across the whole USA though! 😉
It’s the 8140 miles that make you BA, definitely!
Thanks Paula. 😁
I live in Wales…there is no rain like bloody Welsh rain 🌧
Yep, UK’s are tough as nails when it comes to rain, no doubt. We corner the market on cold.
Ha! Welsh rain is the leftovers after Irish rain 😉
Yeah, but if we don’t like the weather, we just wait five minutes…
All the taking clothes off and putting them on really cuts one’s average speed, though.
We say that about Michigan too, but you guys have it worse, no doubt about it.
